Welcome to the ‘Global Citizen Kelowna' web site. This is a non profit and organizational neutral site that is intended to be a ‘one stop' location for local organizations to connect to the public and for the public to see what is happening in and outside this community.
Through web links to various organizations, notices of events and speakers the goal is to inform, provide awareness and give initial direction for individuals to follow up on as they please.
The inspiration for this web site came from the many comments made by people that suggested that they wanted to ‘get involved and make a difference' but they did not know where to start. Our hope is that this site will help direct people to an organization, that is already doing the work, or an event that will encourage the individual to get involved to the degree they are able and willing to be involved using the skills and abilities they have.
