George Chandler, a Global Education Coordinator within International Services of the Lower Mainland Canadian Red Cross since 1996, will address the audience beginning at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 24 at the Sandman Inn, 2130 Harvey Ave. in Kelowna, B.C..

His current work focuses on building awareness and involvement of people around international situations and issues - in particular as part of an "Even Wars Have Limits" campaign that focuses on conflict, humanitarian law, and related issues of landmines, war-affected children, and refugees. A key element in this work is training and developing youth leaders who help mobilize and mentor other youth into taking action. He has worked with Canada World Youth and has a Masters degree in International and Intercultural Management from the School for International Training in Vermont.

Following this presentation, the Red Cross Regional Annual Meeting will be held at the same location (2130 Harvey Ave., Kelowna, B.C.) from 10:30 - 12:30. This meeting is open to members, volunteers and other interested members of the public.
