Global Citizen Week Kelowna Sponsors are businesses and organizations that understand the value of civic participation. These organizations are showing the community what it means to be Global Citizens. Their employees, staff and executive teams are making decisions to volunteer time, contribute financially and donate "gifts in-kind". Without their generous support we would not be able to accomplish our mandate to celebrate what Kelowna's Citizens are doing as Global Citizens!

Canadian Heritage has been a supporter of Global Citizen Kelowna through the "Building Community Through Arts and Heritage" program since 2007. A Taste of Home, If the World was a Village, (including Global Schoolhouse), An Artist's Eye on the World and Global Music Fest are the current events receiving some Heritage funding.
The City has contributed to Global Citizen Kelowna Week events from the very beginning. First through the recreation and youth leadership departments and more recently through Cultural Services. The City encourages events which are community-building, are inclusive and provide opportunities for the citizens of Kelowna to be involved in the cultural and artisitc events.
The Mission of the Intercultural Society of the Central Okanagan, ISCO, "is to provide leadership in helping our community achieve intercultural harmony". ISCO is pleased to support Global Citizen activities because we recognize that people/businesses who are willing to reach out into the world as 'global citizens' will likely be willing to embrace ISCO's mission as well. ISCO is instrumental in pursuing funding for the cultural and artistic components of Global Citizen Kelowna Week. "A Taste of Home' - an evening of ethnic food and cultural entertainment is organized by ISCO members. Membership in ISCO is not limited to new immigrants or cultural groups but is open to everyone interested in creating/keeping a 'welcoming community' of global citizens.
